McAleer Highland Gear is located in Beautiful British Columbia and was born out of frustration. Being involved in Highland Dance for 19 years, we discovered that gear is hard to come by in the Interior of BC, so we decided to start our own business.
We started out by selling shoes and now have grown to provide your highland dancer or pipe band with all their gift, equipment, and costume needs.
We are also able to provide pipe bands with their uniform and equipment needs as well. All of our costumes meet current SOBHD Regulations.
We have 38 years of sewing experience! 18 years dedicated to highland dance costumes and 11 years of kilt making experience!

We will accept returns on all unworn goods provided it is unworn and returned within 30 days. Items will be replaced or a refund given less postage. No return on custom or altered items. Please contact us prior to returning any items. Any authorized returns received after 30 days will be subject to a 10%-25% restocking charge. Additional postage charges will apply for all exchanges due to incorrect ordering. Periodically a custom manufactured product requiring out of stock materials can take longer than 8 weeks before it can be received by us so we can then ship it out to you. As we are a home based business that travels extensively to weekend Dance Competitions/Highland Games, as well as generally a one person operation, there may, periodically, be additional delays if we are sick or out of town. Most items ship within 48 hours of receiving your order. If the purchased products are out of stock or are made to order you could expect to receive the product anywhere within about three to ten weeks depending on the item ordered and workload. We are not responsible for delays caused by chosen delivery method or incorrect/missing information. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Email transfers (mcaleerhighlandgear@shaw.ca), and money orders.
